How the night works

Our photographers set up the mobile studio at your venue and shoot the guests throughout the evening, both portraits and the fun stuff. We take as many frames as we can, and rather than leave students hanging, we put the photos straight onto our on-site viewing stations. Guests browse their own pictures right there and pick exactly which prints they want to take home.

Working this way keeps the whole thing sociable. Students drift over with their friends, pose for a few frames, then crowd round a viewing station to argue over their favourites. It’s a part of the evening rather than a chore, and it means everyone leaves with the photos they actually like, not the ones a stranger chose for them.

We shoot formal portraits and the fun photos in equal measure. A Cumbria prom is as much about the friendship groups and the laughing-too-hard moments as it is about the posed shot in the dress or suit, so we capture both and let students decide. Because the viewing stations show the images straight away, there’s no guesswork. Guests see exactly what they’re buying before they part with a penny.

Print sizes, prices and quality

Our prom prints come as a large 9x6. Buying a print on the night costs just £10 for proms with more than 85 guests, which keeps it genuinely affordable for a Cumbrian school where not every family wants to spend a fortune. Online prints start from £10 plus postage, and nobody is ever under any obligation to buy.

To keep the quality up, we work with current lighting techniques and proper photo equipment, so the portraits look polished whatever the light in the venue happens to be. The result is bright, flattering photos that do justice to the effort everyone’s put into the night.

We run pre-paid packages, and the print can be built into the ticket price. That’s a simple way to make sure every student goes home with a picture without anyone scrabbling for cash on the night.
