Free attending prom photography across the UK

We come to every school prom free of charge. There’s no booking fee to have us turn up, set up and start shooting. We make our money on the prints students and parents decide to keep, which means the school carries no financial risk at all. All you end up with on the night is a friendly studio that students genuinely want to queue for.

We’ve been photographing proms for 16 years now, so we know how the evening tends to flow. There’s the early rush as the cars and limos pull in, a quieter stretch in the middle, then a last hour when everyone suddenly wants one more shot with their mates. We pace the studio around all of that. The queue never gets away from us, and nobody misses out because they happened to be on the dance floor when we were packing the kit away.

A pop-up studio that shows everyone at their best

We bring a proper pop-up studio to your venue, with professional lighting set up the way a portrait deserves, not a phone propped on a tripod. Students wander over in their dresses and suits and we photograph them looking relaxed but sharp: formal portraits, couples, friendship groups and the daft shots too. We carry all our own kit and work fast, so most students are in and out in a couple of minutes with a frame they’re pleased with.

For bigger proms we can run a double studio. Two stations working side by side roughly doubles how many students we get through, which really counts when a few hundred guests all arrive inside the same half hour. And if your prom or ball has a theme, we can drop in green screen backgrounds so students can pose against whatever suits the night.

We give the formal side and the fun side equal billing. Some students want the classic portrait in their outfit; others want the whole friendship circle piled into one frame, laughing. Both matter, and honestly both tend to be the photos people hang on to, so we make room for whatever a group asks for rather than herding them through one fixed pose.

Instant prints on the night

This is the bit we’re known for. Every photo can be printed on the spot, there and then, as a large 8x6. Students walk away holding a finished print instead of waiting weeks for an order to land. For prom nights with more than 120 guests, prints are just £10 on the night.

Every shot also goes up to a password-protected online gallery after the event, so anyone who wants extra copies, or who only makes their mind up later, can order from home. Online prints start from £10 plus postage, with a larger 8x12 available at £15 for anyone who fancies something for the wall. There’s never any obligation to buy. The photos are simply there if people want them.

If you’d rather fold the photo into the ticket, we run pre-paid packages from £750 with real savings against the on-the-night price. It’s a neat way to make sure every single student goes home with a picture to remember the evening by.

Where we cover

We photograph proms right across the country, from London, Manchester and Liverpool up to Newcastle, Edinburgh and Glasgow, with plenty of places in between. Wherever your venue is, we travel to you and bring everything we need, lighting and the on-site printer included.

And if you’re weighing up a photo booth as well, we’re happy to run both at the same event. You can have the staffed studio and the self-serve booth going together, which keeps a long evening busy and gives students more than one way to come home with a picture.
